What is a Hybrid Meeting?

A hybrid meeting is a meeting - committee, board, or otherwise -  where some participants members attend in person while others connect remotely. Benefits to hybrid meetings include enhanced geographic diversity (i.e., meeting participants can phone in or Zoom in from any location), the ability to easily include expert speakers, consultants or vendors without travel expenses, and the ability to accommodate those who wish to continue working or meeting remotely. Downsides to hybrid meetings include technical difficulties, meeting participants feeling left out or unengaged, and the inability to discern non-verbal visual cues that occur in in-person only meetings.
